The Alte Kongresshalle (Old Congress Hall) has been a centre for public and private events since it was built in 1952/53. Set in grounds near Theresienwiese at the heart of Munich, the imposing building underwent extensive restoration and technical modernization by the Edith-Haberland-Wagner Stiftung in 2007 and is now an ideal setting where various kinds of individual events can be staged.
The outstanding feature of this heritage-protected and highly versatile event venue is its retro-futuristic architecture. Its severely simple and clean lines are continued throughout the interior and define the unique character of this landmark of Munich culture.
At Munich Airport, you’ll enjoy excellent national, inter-European and international flights. Find all current flight routes along with detailed information about the Munich Airport here: munich-airport.com
From the international airport all trains in all directions will bring you directly to ‚Hackerbrücke‘ next to the Alte Kongresshalle in less than 45 minutes (plus 15 minutes walk to the venue). Or you can change from train to subway U5 at main Station ‘Hauptbahnhof’ in direction of the well known place where the Octoberfest takes place ‘Theresienwiese’.
Arrive right in the center of Munich: Munich’s Central Station is the second largest passenger train station in Germany. Taxis, public transportation, and rental cars can all be found within the Central Station.
